The Clinician plans and implements therapy services for Crossbridge. This Clinician functions as part of the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for assessments, group, individual and family therapy, case management, and other therapeutic services. This clinician is also responsible for providing collaborative discharge planning services with patients and their families to promote adequate and timely discharge plans. In addition, this position may assume primary therapist responsibilities as may be directed by treatment coordinator. The clinician may serve as a preceptor to behavioral health interns.


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and family therapy or closely related field as a minimum.
  • Experience with psychiatry, behavioral health, and knowledge of case management is preferred.
  • Alabama License: LMSW, LICSW, ALC, LPC or LMFT
  • One of the following 'SECURE' or BLS within 30 days in position required.
  • Ability to evaluate and access difficulties and strengths in age specific psycho-social functioning
  • Knowledge of diagnostic criteria from the most current DSM
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Ability to cope with stressful/rapidly changing situations
  • Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations
  • Ability to work from broad directions and be self motivated
  • Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Must have organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
  • Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guests, visitors, and patients
