Job Summary:
The selected candidate will answer phone calls, schedule appointments and referrals, discuss surgical procedures, and review benefit eligibility with patients.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee provider schedules, block times, and template scheduling within the EMR system.
- Type medical documents (e.g. physician dictations and patient charts)
- Process lab results in Patient Portal and contact patients, as needed, regarding results.
- Manage office communications
- Schedule surgeries
- Perform credentialing
- Travel locally to conduct errands
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Perform other duties as assigned

- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid Driver License (required)
- Medical Administration experience preferred
- Experience with office equipment to include multiline phone system, fax, copier, scanner,
- Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations and medical office procedures.
- Knowledge of MS Office, databases and EHR systems
- Outstanding communication skills

- Organizational and multitasking skills

- Ability to communicate in a professional manner, both verbal and written
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents pertaining to various medical, treatment, and surgical matters.

Physical Demands
- The duties of this position require the employee to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time.
