Carstensen Joins Alabama Bone & Joint

S. Evan Carstensen, MD

S. Evan Carstensen, MD has joined Alabama Bone & Joint. After, receiving his undergraduate, magna cum laude with honors, and medical degrees from Wake Forest University, he completed his internship and orthopaedic training at the University of Virginia.

He was then selected to pursue subspecialized training in sports medicine at Emory University and further focused on the shoulder, hip, knee, and foot and ankle. During his time in Atlanta, he served as a team physician for the Atlanta Falcons, Az̄tlanta Hawks, as well as Georgia Tech football and basketball.

He is fellowship-trained in orthopaedic shoulder, knee, hip, and sports medicine.
