James Evans, MD has joined the medical staff of the Lewis and Faye Manderson Cancer Center as a medical oncologist/hematologist.
Evans is board certified in hematology/medical oncology and internal medicine and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
He comes to the Manderson Cancer Center from Birmingham, where he worked as a medical oncologist for three years. Evans completed his fellowship in hematology/oncology at The University of Mississippi Medical Center and his medical doctorate at the UAB School of Medicine.
He served as chief resident of internal medicine at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and he received his bachelor's degree in biology from University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
The Manderson Cancer Center is located on the campus of DCH Regional Medical Center.
