Rajini Murthy, MD has joined Total Skin & Beauty Dermatology.
Murthy obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and then followed with her MD from the University of Alabama. Thereafter, she finished a medical internship at Baptist Health System in Birmingham. Her residency was completed at Emory University, where she was also served as Chief Resident and Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology. In 2017, she received her board certification from the American Board of Dermatology.
Murthy's clinical interests include supportive oncodermatology, or caring for patients who are experiencing cutaneous toxicities as a result of their cancer treatments. She has had the opportunity to collaborate with oncologists and care for patients in the first specialized supportive oncodermatology clinic at Emory, focusing on the diagnosis, management, and treatment of these skin toxicities in an attempt toward early recognition of the impact of cancer treatments on the skin, improve quality of life, and hopefully allowing patients to continue with their oncology treatments.
