In 2016, Brent Parnell, MD and Maurine Batson, MD joined OB-GYN South, P.C.
Parnell earned his Bachelor's Degree from Samford University and his Medical Degree from the UAB School of Medicine. After residency training at Greenville Health Systems, he then completed a three-year fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, also known as urogynecology, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
As a board certified Urogynecologist, Parnell focuses on the treatment of pelvic floor disorders including pelvic organ prolapse, bladder and bowel incontinence using a wide array of conservative, medical and surgical treatments. He has extensive experience with robotic surgery, sacral neuromodulation, Botox for overactive bladder and other minimally invasive techniques.
Mauring Batson, MD
Batson earned her Bachelor's Degree from UAB and her Medical Degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency training at the University of Florida in Gainesville. She has an interest in adolescent gynecology, high risk obstetrics, and laparoscopic surgery.
