Rosalinda C. Roberts, PhD, professor of psychiatry at UAB, has been named the second holder of the Kathy Ireland Endowed Chair for Psychiatric Research. Roberts is an internationally recognized figure in schizophrenia research, who was recruited to the UAB faculty in 2007 from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She earned her doctorate in biological sciences at the University of California, Irvine, and did postgraduate study at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. She is a member of the Society for Neuroscience, and since 2004 and has been recognized in Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
