SourceMedical has named Ralph J. Riccardi Jr., CHE, president and chief operating officer of its new Therapy & Radiology Division and Scott Palmer president and chief operating officer of its Ambulatory Surgery Center Division.
Riccardi, formerly executive vice president of SourceMedical, joined the company in January 2005 after serving as senior vice president channel partner programs for WebMD. Before that, he was president of Omega Health Systems and prior to that he was general manager of NDCHealth's Hospital Division. He also experienced a 21-year career in the United States Air Force Medical Service, which included responsibility as director of contracting policy and operations for the Office of the Surgeon General, USAF.
Palmer was previously senior vice president of business development for SourceMedical, a position he held since he joined the company when SourceMedical acquired Prescient Health Systems in May of this year. Prescient's founder and chief executive officer, he also was the founder and president of Temple Information Systems, a company he helped to guide into a nationwide provider of information systems for the health care industry. After Temple's acquisition by HealthIS, Palmer served as the chief operating officer and later chief executive officer of HealthIS, before leaving to start Prescient in 2002.
November 2006
