The Compounding Shoppe is only the second pharmacy in the United States to earn the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board's (PCAB) Seal of Accreditation. To earn PCAB Accreditation, The Compounding Shoppe had to complete an extensive application process, document its written policies and provide an analysis of its quality procedures. In addition, compounding experts conducted an extensive on-site inspection. Compounding, or the custom-making of medications by pharmacists to meet the specific needs of each patient, is a growing segment in the practice of pharmacy, with an estimated 30 to 40 million prescriptions compounded annually. ie.
