The Birmingham Regional Hospital Council has chosen Princeton President Charlie Faulkner to be chairman of the Birmingham Regional Emergency Medical Services System (BREMSS). BREMSS coordinates pre-hospital care for patients in a central Alabama area that includes 19 hospitals, 2500 EMS personnel and 180 EMS agents.
"Mr. Faulkner brings a wealth of knowledge to BREMSS," said Joe Acker, BREMSS executive director. "He has the ability to bring together a diverse group of individuals to solve problems in a way that puts the best interest of the patient first. We look forward to his leadership and guidance."
Faulkner has served as president of Princeton Baptist Medical Center since 1998. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Montevallo and his master's in hospital and health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
